Your response is immensely appreciated. I loved your reply and how you stated your reasonings.

I have a couple of points to state here:

  • The adblocking feature of Safari is actually not that great when it comes to online streaming websites such as YouTube, therefore, I use Adguard in system-level for better privacy protection and adblock.
  • The user interface of Safari is designed to speak with as much Mac users as possible. Lots of people who are not experts in customizing their experience, appreciate the clean and minimal design of this browser.
  • The user profile is a feature many people including me would love to have, and in the next release of Safari for macOS Monterey we will get tab groupings which is a step in the right direction, but I get where you are coming from and why it is important
  • I have seen YouTube videos where they explained color-accuracy for YouTube to be better on Safari albeit dependent on their hardware. My experience with watching YouTube on Safari is actually not good.
  • The activity monitor shows much memory use from Firefox when compared to Safari, however, it is noticeably better than Chrome.
  • I’m not very sure about Apple using chromium but if you have any article to support that statement, please let me know.

Firefox is reliable, fast, and privacy-friendly. I’m going to give it another try and use it as my main browser for a week. Maybe I’ll switch from Safari, but features like continuity and Apple design language is why I usually come back to Apple products.

Thank you for writing your response. It really means a lot reading my arguments and supporting me this way.
