Talk about an upgrade, Lloyd! What a jump from a 2012 Intel Mac Mini to the M4 Apple Silicon.
Congratulations on your purchase. The difference is night and day.
The choice of using one of the Mac Minis has been wise. If I were you, I'd run Ubuntu on it and try using Docker to host OpenWRT, Pi-hole, and Home Assistant.
Self-hosting projects on that Mac will make them extra useful.
I wonder which R1 model you host on the M4 and how many tokens per second you get from a complicated query.
