Is 16 GB of RAM Enough for Your Mac? The Truth Revealed!
Those Saying 16 GB of RAM is Enough are Misinformed or Wrong.

Lasting decisions are the best decisions to make. One such decision is choosing a Mac with over 16 GB of memory. It’s not worth spending over $1K on a Mac with 16 GBs of RAM or less.
After Apple announces the new macOS updates at their annual worldwide developer conference, your machine with limited memory will be unfit for new features.
By the way, I’m not talking solely about Apple Intelligence, which will require tons of video memory. The root problem is larger than you imagine — Apple Silicon sharing the memory for everything.
Unified Memory for the Win?
Unlike PCs, which run on processors with older X86 architecture, on Macs with M-Series Soc, you don’t have a so-called “dynamic ram”.
The difference in architecture is both an advantage and disadvantage of the new Macs.
I’ll simplify it for you: An M4 Mac with 16 GBs of memory shares all its resources to your CPU and GPU, so you don’t have all 16 GB for the CPU.
The GPU will need a considerable portion of the memory to function properly and provide a smooth visual experience.
